Faith Repudiates Racism

In light of the current events swirling in the US headlines, we need to see that God is not racist! He does not distinguish between color or ethnicity. He does not withhold love but rather His spirit scours the face of the earth in search of those that will turn to Him and receive His unconditional love. He does not see color in his children. We need to renounce racism.We see how God sees the ethnic differences in scripture with these three [among many] examples:

• Moses was married to an  Ethiopian woman.
• Boaz was a direct ancestor of King David and he married Ruth, a Moabite woman whose tribe was an enemy of the Hebrew people.
• Yeshua shared openly his love and desire for all to know the Father when He met with the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4.  

The answer to the black and white, left and right, red and blue debate will not be found in humanistic or intellectual social rhetoric. The answer will not be found in a pseudo-jihadi message of covering up America’s historical statues in burkas. The answer will only come from seeking God. 

Whose Side Are You On?

There are deep divisions being made across the United States. People from different groups are proclaiming what they believe to be true justice and the correct way to handle this politically volatile season. We are expected to choose a side.In the scriptures, when Joshua was asked God for a battle plan, an angelic presence appeared to him:

13 Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?”14 “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord have for his servant?”15 The commander of the Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so.”

Conan O'Brien said on his TV show that because the US is in such a state of disagreement and discontentment he is seeking refuge in a more tranquil environment. He wants to spend some time in a place where he can get a little peace and quiet. So he is visiting Israel to take a break from the US madness.
